Followspots
Followspots are very powerful spot lights that are human
controlled, and used to follow someone on a stage keeping a beam
of light on them. |

PARS
PAR lights resemble car headlights. They possess a lens, but the
lens is an integral part of the lamp and its position relative
to the filament cannot be altered. |

Micros
Micros are small versions of Ellipse, Par, Flood, and Border
lights. These are also lightweight and consume less energy. |

Fresnel
Fresnel spotlights are used primarily where a controllable,
soft-edged lighting source is required. |

Ellipsoidals
Ellipsoidal spotlights produce a high intensity sharp
or soft edged beam. Ellipsoidals are the primary instrument for
pattern projections. |

Border Lights
Also known as Cyclorama, Battens, are long housings
typically containing multiple lamps arranged along the length of
the instrument and emitting light perpendicular to its length.

Cycloramas
Cycloramas are often used to create the illusion of a sky

creating smooth even washes of light. |

lights and a lighting mixer for fading and motion. |
